Year 5 Greek WOW Day

Year 5 went back in time to Ancient Greece for our WOW day. We dressed in traditional Greek clothes, made laurel head wreaths and painted and decorated ancient Greek pots using a scratching technique.  Each  of the three classes made a traditional Greek dish to be eaten at The Meads Greek Taverna including tzatziki, hummus, feta cheese salad and hot breads.  For dessert we sampled apricots and figs.  Finally, we learnt a traditional Greek dance.
