Getting School Ready
Starting school is a huge milestone for your child! So, prepare them for school with our handy collection of getting ready for school checklists. These handy checklists ensure children have the essential skills they need before starting school such as essential hygiene, how to get dressed for school and basic handwriting skills among many others! Simply ask your child to tick off each skill when they have learnt how to do each task on the list.
What should children be able to do before starting school?
Children need to be able to follow instructions, use the toilet independently and know how to recognize their own name before starting school. Basic day-to-day skills children will be using is following instruction and concentrating and engaging with peers. So, before your child starts school, its best to let them practice being independent so why not complete the I Am Independent checklist.
