Family Activities and Courses

Our Family Workers; Sharon Downey and Tariq Khan are continuing to develop links between home and school. A range of support and advice can be given to parents and carers which can be used to help to build up their own skills, whilst other sessions allow you to support the educational needs of your children.

Please feel free to drop in, or if you prefer, timetabled appointments are available for anyone who wishes to discuss issues in a confidential environment.

What activities will you be able to attend?

There are a range of activities and sessions throughout the week and the Term. You are welcome to attend any that are of interest to you and your family. Please speak to the family workers, or use the following links for more information:

Toddler Time

Tuesday mornings - 9.00am-10.15am

Toddler time is a fun session for pre-school children and their parents and carers. All welcome!

There are a range of books, games and toys to play with as well as an activity for parent and carers to do alongside their children. We'll have a snack and finish with a few songs.

A £1 contribution is requested to provide resources such as refreshments, materials, and toys used in these sessions.

Parent Teacher Association

Wednesday mornings - 9.00am-10.00am

We hold weekly sessions in the family room for the Meads PTA to plan, organise and prepare events for the coming year.

The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. The PTA also provides those little extras that make school memorable such as 'Breakfast with Santa'.

You do not have to be on the committee to join us, everyone is welcome! So come along any time you can to lend a hand!
