Volcanoes

In year 4 we have been looking at poetry. The children were tasked to create their own poems about volcanoes, which included expression and actions. Take a look at some of the fantastic examples that have been created along with their own art work in the background. Great work year 4!

 

Anglo Saxon WOW Day (2)

Year 4 were very excited to be part of an Anglo-Saxon WOW Day. We all took part in numerous activities such as dressing up, making coins, spinning wool, scribing and handling artefacts.

South America

Kingfishers have been studying South America this past half term and for their P.E. lesson they have put together a samba dance. They have showed great teamwork and enthusiasm over coming many obstacles and displaying a growth mind-set throughout. 

 

Vikings

In year 4 we have been looking at the vikings. The children have thoroughly enjoyed finding out many facts about the "Vicious Vikings". One area in particular the children enjoyed was learning about how the Vikings raided and settled around Europe. In the videos below the children were challenged to retell the events of a famous Viking raid at Lindisfarne, highlighting the horrific events that occured.

Year 4 Dell Farm Trip 2016

Year 4 went to Dell Farm on Tuesday 19th July, the hottest day of the year so far! We had great fun, here are some pictures of our day.

Year 4 Science Week

Year 4 had a great week. We learnt about the scientist Nikola Tesla. We carried out debates about his conflict with Thomas Edison. During this weel we took part in various experiments such as blubber gloves, kitchen slime and design a seed.#
